I haven't been keeping my blog updated at all in the last few months. There's a lot to catching up to do, so here is a summary of some of the wildlife trips.
Up until may I spent a lot of time in the forest with the squirrels. Some days they were about for a long time, but other days they hardly showed at all. By the time the trees turned green there was not much light left in the forest and it was time to move on to other things again.
I had a few more visits to the mountain hares, who were loosing their white winter coat, so less striking, but still very photogenic. The only thing that is really unattractive about them in spring and summer are the huge ticks they have all over their face. I saw some young leverets as well. Very cute.
In May I visited one of my favourite places again: Handa Island. There were not many seabirds yet, except the gulls, fulmars and great skuas. I picked a gorgeous sunny day and the cliffs and views were lovely on Handa.
