Bottlenose Dolphin hunting Salmon in Moray Firth

Unfortunately the weather has not improved much since the last time I updated this blog. It is still pretty cold and unpredictable. Nonetheless I have been to Chanonry Point quite a few times. I am happy to say that I have finally found a good way to work the shutter button at the bottom of the camera.

There has been some good dolphin activity. The dolphins have been hunting salmon, but also much smaller prey such as sand eels. There are usually one or two small calves Dolphin Calf, Chanonry Point, Scotland about. As you can see in the photos the light conditions make all the difference in the quality. I took the photo of the dolphin with the salmon on a grey day while it was drizzling. When the sun shines there is so much more detail in the animals.
