The dolphin season has not had a great start. The first few months there has been smaller fish, which means that the dolphins are spread out more and you don't see a lot of action. But yesterday, I enjoyed a wonderful half hour or so alone with the dolphins at Chanonry. Hasn't happened in many, many years. I went straight after work and there was no one there. The dolphins, Zephyr and her youngster Breeze, turned up soon after. They were right on the edge of the beach. Zephyr was maybe just as surprised that there was only one person there, because she came to check me out. These moments make it worth every boring and freezing hour you stand at the point waiting.
